ACTUAL low ratios means we can provide the level of attention your child deserves!

At Little Heroes we believe in teaching swimming for relaxation, not frustration! Our small classes – a maximum of just TWO students in our EXLPORER levels – and a personalised approach, enables our mentors to engage each student with activities that develop their practical skills whilst having fun.

We aim for more than just teaching swimming strokes, the job of a mentor is to guide a child’s relationship with the water. Placing a strong emphasis on survival and drowning prevention, our mentors personally focus on each student in a holistic, stress-free setting that builds confidence and an understanding of the water. We want kids to relax and enjoy being safer in all water environments, from the bathtub to the pool to the beach.

Students progress through our levels learning freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and Little Heroes’ famous ‘Flip Swimming’ program. This relaxed recovery stroke enables the swimmer to rest from freestyle and to be able to swim for longer. The stroke also aids in getting balance and a feel of the water.

SWIMthrive Level Progression

Blazers Squad Program
Little Heroes’ non-competitive squad program is designed for advanced students who are competent in the four strokes and can swim 50m. Squad lessons take place either at the pool or at the beach rock pools, with a focus on developing students’ motivation, fitness, endurance and – above all – having fun!

Duration: 30 mins to 1 hour

Students of all ages and levels looking to become more comfortble in open water will benefit from OCEANthrive, a one-of-a-kind beachside surf safety program.

Originally known as Surfsquad and developed by Little Heroes’ inaugural surf safety expert and Ocean Water Coordinator, Barney Quinlan, OCEANthrive is the perfect pathway to creating water people: those able to adapt to any aquatic environment, from still water to open water, from pool to surf, observation to technique, understanding to practice.
